In relation to the Premier’s announcement that he has abolished the Department of Culture and the Arts’ Screen Culture Panel, I ask:
(a) what is the budgeted amount of funding this committee was supposed to disperse in 2009–2010;
(b) how much funding was dispersed;
(c) who will now be making the decisions previously made by this committee;
(d) what is the budgeted amount of funding for equivalent grants in the 2010-11 budget; and
(e) what are the cost savings from abolishing this committee and where have those savings been allocated?

(a) $100 000
(b) $189 591 has been dispersed in 2009-10.
(c) ScreenWest Officers and Government Officers will sit on the assessment panels
(d) The Screenwest internal operational 2010-11 budget is still being finalised.
(e) Approximately $1 200 in savings arising from the operatives of the committee will be retained by ScreenWest budget.
