Fuel supplies—Department of Fire and Emergency Services
147. Hon Rob Horstman to
the minister representing the Minister for Emergency
Services:
I refer to recent
fuel shortages, particularly in regional WA, and several fuel retailers across
the country prioritising fuel for emergency services.
(1) Does the
Department of Fire and Emergency Services maintain its own fuel reserve?
(2) If so, how much is in the reserve and
how long is this expected to last?
(3) Which fuel retailers does the
government rely on to supply DFES and under what arrangements?
(4) What actions has the department taken
to ensure adequate fuel supply for career and volunteer brigades, especially in
regional WA?
