There was no announcement of Networking the Nation funding in August 2001. However if the Hon Member could clarify which particular Networking the Nation funding round he is referring to, it will be possible to provide the detail he is seeking. It should be noted however that: a) Networking the Nation funding is decided by the Commonwealth Government on the advice of an independent Board. b) Funds are allocated every six months in response to specific projects which in most cases are proposed by individual regions or communities. c) State Governments do not decide how much of the available funds should be spent in particular regions. d) Not applicable.
