On behalf of the Leader of the House, I thank the member for some notice of this question. The Minister for South West has supplied the following answer - (a) The appointment of additional sales staff, therefore increasing the income raised. (b) The following were agreed: first, continued growth in sales and renewable income. Second, the scaling down of operations if no other project funds are received, including cessation of manager role and moving to smaller offices. Third, continuation of the portal, including the site being up 98 per cent of the time, the availability of a payment gateway for e-commerce opportunities and suitable marketing of the site. Fourth, continuation of the “mytown” model and the provision of skill enhancement opportunities for “mytown” administrators. Fifth, the sharing of revenue between Connect South West Association and “mytown” coordinator organisations. Current arrangements will continue whereby “mytown” coordinators will receive 100 per cent of a new sale and 50 per cent of renewals for their area for actively marketing, selling and autonomously managing their “mytown”. “Mytown” is the expansion of web portals to local communities, emphasising local businesses and activities.
