Services:
I refer to the Disability Services
Commission-managed property in Healy Road, Hamilton Hill.
(1) What
remodelling and renovation works have been identified as being needed to be
undertaken at the property?
(2) Have families
of residents been told that much-needed renovations on the property will not be
undertaken until they choose a private provider?
(3) Have the
families of residents been directed to choose a private provider by Christmas
2016?
(4) If yes to
questions (2) or (3), what are the details?
(5) Will the
minister ensure that remedial works are undertaken in a timely and prompt
manner; and, if not, why not?

(1) Replacing
floors with hard-wearing linoleum throughout the house, fixing external paving
and some repairs to the carport and painting and gardening have been completed.
(2) No. Families
have been advised that as part of the transition process, the new provider will
do an inspection of the property with the Department of Housing and the
Disability Services Commission. The parties may draw up a schedule of works in
accordance with the requirements for making good before handover if required.
(3) No.
(4) Not applicable.
(5) Yes. Once quotes have been
obtained, work will be scheduled.
