158. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to the recent three-day
search in the remote goldfields to locate seven missing people following
flooding throughout the region.
(1) What WA police air assets were
mobilised in the search?
(2) What private air assets were
mobilised in the search?
(3) Was the RAC rescue helicopter
requested to assist by WA police?
(4) If yes to (4), when was a request
made, and was the helicopter tasked?
(5) When did WA police air assets
arrive in the goldfields to assist in the search?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following information is provided on behalf of
the Minister for Police. The Western Australia Police Force advise the
following.
(1) One PC-12 Pilatus fixed-wing
aircraft and one H145 helicopter were deployed to Kalgoorlie.
(2) These were a Goldfields Air Services fixed-wing
aircraft and craft from Circle H Helicopters, a Kalgoorlie helicopter
company.
(3) No.
(4) Not applicable.
(5) On 13 March 2024.
