I refer to Murrin Murrin Nickel Cobalt Project operated by Minara Resources Limited -
(1) Is it correct that some stop work notices relating to dust and other issues were issued by the Department of Environment (DoE) in the year 2004 at the above operation?
(2) If yes to (1), can the Minister quote the full text of the stop work notices issued?
(3) Can the Minister explain how the DoE justify issuing various stop work notices in the year 2004 at the above operation?
(4) If no to (3), why not?
(5) Can the Minister state how many breaches of the
Environmental Protection Act 1986
including breaches of licence conditions whether prosecuted or not, that the licensee has breached in the last three years up to present date, the specific text of the condition breached and what if any, enforcement action that followed from the DoE?
(6) If no to (5), why not?
(7) Can the Minister state how many environmental field notices have been issued in the last three years at the above nickel cobalt project and for what specific reasons under the
Environmental Protection Act 1986
?
(8) If no to (7), why not?
