352. Hon GIZ WATSON to the minister representing the
Minister for Environment:
I refer to the investigation by the Department of Environment
of suspected organophosphate poisoning of Carnaby's black cockatoos as
reported by the Canning Times on 5 June
2012.
(1) Will the
minister please provide full details of the investigation, including the number
of birds affected, and its progress to date?
(2) When the
investigation is finalised, will the minister please advise this house of the
outcome, including full details of all actions taken to prevent a similar
incident in the future?
(3) If no to (1)
and/or (2), why not?
(4) When is the
investigation expected to be finished?
