Household Hazardous Waste program
There are indicative funding allocations for the different activities for each financial year, but there is no specific funding allocation to any particular facility and the contract provides for funding allocations to be varied or redistributed between activities by agreement between the parties.
Western Australian Transitional E-Waste program
Payments are based on actual costs incurred. The program provides a subsidy of up to 50% of the e-waste recycling and disposal cost. Outside the Perth metropolitan area, the program also makes provision for transport costs.
E-waste funding allocations to local government are based on the estimates of
e-waste generation per capita and the size of the population served. The program budget will be reviewed annually by the Waste Authority and funds may be transferred between program elements.
