(1) Did the Australian Labor Party make a pre-election commitment to spent two million dollars to help solve youth homelessness in Western Australia?
(2) Will the Minister confirm that, to date, only about half a million dollars or 25% of the promised amount has been expended to date, in spite of the Government’s term of office now being about 60% completed?
(3) Why has the Government not responded positively to the State Homelessness Taskforce which identified Busselton as being in critical need of SAAP supported emergency or crisis accommodation?
(4) Is it true that the SAAP-funded Partnership in Housing project will not receive further funding beyond its current allocation, in spite of 51 young people and families being helped into private accommodation by this project?
(5) Is the Minister concerned that Agencies for South West Accommodation or ASWA may be forced to hand back housing stock provided to it via the Department of Housing and Works because of inadequate funding from the State Government, thereby closing down the only two houses available for accommodating homeless young people and families in Busselton?
