DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING — 19 BRATHWAITE ROAD,
LOCKRIDGE
520. Mr D.J. KELLY to the Minister for
Housing:
I have a supplementary question. How
can the minister say that the site has been secured when residents, children, I
and the media all accessed it yesterday with no problems whatsoever. The fence
can easily be removed —
Mr
J.M. Francis interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Jandakot, I call you to order for the first time.
Right, minister.
Mr
W.R. MARMION : As I said, Wilson Security —
Mr
D.J. KELLY : I am sorry; I have not finished my supplementary question.
The
SPEAKER : Sorry.
Mr
D.J. KELLY : How can the minister say that that site is secure when
residents, drug dealers, squatters, the media and I all could access that site
easily yesterday with no difficulty —
Several members interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Warnbro, I call you to order for the first time.
Mr
D.J. KELLY : Members opposite may think this is not a serious issue, but the
site is not secure. I ask the minister: will he improve security by putting in
place 24-hour onsite security, not mobile vans that visit once in a while?
