I refer to patronage on the Australind train, and I ask: (a) what was the patronage on the Australind train in: (i) 2014-15; and (ii) 1 July 2015 to date; (b) were there any periods during each of 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15 when the Australind Train was not available to provide a twice daily service between Perth and Bunbury; and (c) if yes to (b): (i) please specify each of the periods for which the train was not available; (ii) what were the reasons for the unavailability; and (iii) what alternative transport options were put in place during the periods of unavailability?

(ii) The patronage on the Australind train service from 1 July 2015 to 30 September 2015 was 24 366.
(b) Yes, there were periods in the 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15 years when the train consist was not available to run the scheduled service.
