PEEL HEALTH CAMPUS — ELECTIVE SURGERY
785. Mr R.H. COOK to the Minister for
Health:
I have a supplementary question. Can
the minister confirm that because of resource allocations, it is very likely
that public operations at Peel Health Campus have recently been suspended
simply because it does not have the capacity to meet demand?

I will not confirm that without
getting further advice and information. I know that the financial allocation
and the amount of funding provided by this government to Peel Health Campus, as
with all major hospitals in the metropolitan area, the Peel region and around
the state, have increased substantially since we have been in government,
including in the current financial year.
