I refer to the issue of water licenses at James Price Point obtained by Woodside, and ask —
(1) Has Woodside been deemed an owner or occupier of the James Price Point area for the purposes of Clause 3 of Schedule 1 of the
Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914
?
(2) If yes to (1), how?
(3) If no to (1), why not?
(4) Did Woodside obtain an agreement with the Native Title Claimants to the James Price Point area?
(5) If no to (4), why not?
(6) Do the Native Title Claimants to the James Price Point area constitute owners or occupiers of the land for the purposes of clause 3 of Schedule 1 to the
Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914
?
(7) If no to (6), why not?
(8) If yes to (6), under which clause(s) or definitions do they constitute owners or occupiers?

(1)-(8) The Minister for Water is satisfied that Woodside Energy Ltd met the eligibility requirements for holding a water licence under clause 3 of Schedule 1 to the
Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914
and that the water licences were properly granted. The Minister also notes that under clause 4.2 of the Browse LNG Precinct Project Agreement between the State of Western Australia, the Goolarabooloo Jabirr Jabirr peoples and Woodside Energy Ltd (among others), the Native Title Party consents to all titles, including water licences, which are necessary or incidental for the establishment, operation, maintenance or decommissioning of the LNG Precinct or the Foundation Proponent Project or both of them, and to the renewal of such licences.
