EMERGENCY SERVICES — AFTER-ACTION REVIEWS
1275. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Minister for Emergency Services:
I
refer to the after-action reviews conducted by the Department of Fire and
Emergency Services following significant emergency events.
(1) What is the status and expected
completion date of the following after-action reviews —
(a) tropical cyclone Seroja, 2021;
(b) Calgardup bushfire, Margaret
River, 2021;
(c) severe weather event February
2022 and concurrent level 3 bushfire incidents; and
(d) Spotlight Myaree structure fire?
(2) Will the minister please table
any completed after-action reviews identified in (1)?
(3) Given the scale and magnitude of destruction from
tropical cyclone Seroja, will the government c ommission an independent
and public inquiry into the event?

Department of Fire and Emergency Services has advised that all reports are in
the final stages of approval and should all be completed this year.
