A). Yes.
B). Victim-survivors in regional Western Australia who cannot access the Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC) are clinically supported through WA Country Health Service (WACHS) sites, which are equipped to manage all sexual assault presentations.
Clinical support includes:
· Medical care, such as treatment for injuries, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections and access to emergency contraception.
· Forensic evidence collection, which may involve full forensic examinations or self-collected Early Evidence Kits (EEKs), guided remotely by SARC’s forensic medical practitioners
· 24/7/365 Clinical advice and support for WACHS clinicians from SARC.
Psychosocially, SARC provides 24/7 counselling service via telehealth, ensuring victims have access to crisis support and ongoing counselling.
