I refer to new methods of tracking the effectiveness of Western Australia Police (WA Police) investigations and changes to the previous “sanction rate” system, and ask: (a) on what date was the change endorsed by the Auditor General; (b) was the Auditor General’s endorsement made in writing and if so, on what date was the written endorsement received by WA Police; (c) on what date was the change approved by the Minister for Police; (d) on what date was the change approved by the Department of Treasury; and (e) were the Minister’s or Department of Treasury’s approval for the changes made in writing and, if so, on what dates were the written approvals received by WA Police?
