(1) (a) Approximately 1,260 hectares of jarrah forest was thinned during 1999. (b) Approximately 3,560 hectares of jarrah forest was harvested during 1999 with the silvicultural objective to release regeneration. (c) Approximately 5,720 hectares of jarrah forest was harvested during 1999 with the silvicultural objective to establish regeneration. (d) Approximately 590 hectates of jarrah forest was harvested during 1999 with the silvicultural objective of single tree selection. (e) Approximately 2,000 hectares was harvested during 1999 to the selective silvicultural objective. (f) During 1999 approximately 1,070 hectares of jarrah forest was harvested to other objectives, including clearing for mining, infrastructure and utility purposes. (2) Approximately 50 hectares of jarrah/wandoo forest was harvested during 1999. (3) (a) Approximately 1,890 hectares of karri forest was harvested using a clearfelling method during 1999. (i) All areas harvested during 1999 were scheduled for replanting. (ii) There were no karri forest areas cut to seed trees during 1999.
