I refer to the recent tender for the
Martuwarra Fitzroy River Bridge.
(1) What was the price of the
successful bid by the Georgiou Group for construction of the bridge?
(2) How will the bridge be funded?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Due to the
urgent requirement to commence the bridge replacement project, the tender
evaluation was based on proponents'
technical capabilities and resourcing. The price will be proposed by the
alliance and ratified by an
independent estimator following further design activities and liaison with
potential suppliers.
(2) The bridge will be funded by the state government,
with commonwealth government contributions through the disaster recovery
fund.
