I refer to the three per cent efficiency dividend cuts (forward estimates) of $1 343 000 in Workforce Policy and the $1 285 000 in Training, and ask -
(1) Where exactly were those cuts made in Workforce Policy?
(2) Will the Minister itemise the area from which the cut was made and the amount cut?
(3) If no to (2), why not?

(1 - 3) The three per cent efficiency dividend cuts applied to Training for 2009-10 and reported in the 2009-10 Budget Paper No. 2 on page 348 (as part of the then Department of Education and Training) totalled $6,086,900. I would also refer the Honourable Member to
Hansard
for a record of the Committee hearing on this issue.
The Department of Training and Workforce Development is not able to identify the three per cent efficiency dividend quoted above of $1,343,000 for Workforce Policy. If the reference to Workforce Policy above relates to the Workforce Policy and Coordination Directorate within the Department of Education, the question should be referred to the Minister for Education.
