(1) Approximately $1.06 million.
(2)(a) Approximately $1.06 million has been provided to State Training Providers (formerly TAFE Colleges) through the 2011 Delivery and Performance Agreements as follows:
· Approximately $0.64 million as a contribution toward training new lecturing staff in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification in accordance with the TAFE Lecturers' Qualification Framework within the Western Australian TAFE Lecturers' General Agreement (2008); and
· Approximately $0.42 million as a one-off contribution toward the cost of upgrading the qualification of approximately 1000 lecturing staff holding the BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training qualification, to the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification.
(b) No direct funding has been provided to the WesternAustralianAcademyof Performing Arts, which is recognised by the Department of Training and Workforce Development as the public Registered Training Organisation that is not a State Training Provider.
(c) No direct funding has been provided to private Registered Training Organisations.
(3) Public and private Registered Training Organisations are responsible for meeting the obligations of the Australian Quality Training Framework, including responsibility for lecturing staff qualifications.
However, these organisations may access some public funding for the delivery of the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification through the Department of Training and Workforce Development's Existing Worker Productivity Places Program.
