(1) All children of preschool age and school age children to 17 years, including those in foster care, receive free treatment through the School Dental Service. The Department for Community Development directly meets the cost for emergency dental treatment and for treatment not covered by the School Dental Service. (2) Foster parents work through the department case manager or the department’s crisis care unit for after hours emergency treatment.
