the minister representing the Minister for Police:
I refer to the
management of reportable offenders.
(1) Are all reportable offenders currently being
managed by the serious offender enforcement squad?
(2) If no to (1), who else is managing these
offenders?
(3) How many reportable offenders are currently
being managed by this squad?

I thank the member
for some notice the question. The following answer has been provided by the
Minister for Police.
(1) The Western Australia Police Force serious
offender enforcement squad (SOES) manage all reportable offenders in the
metropolitan area.
(2) Reportable offenders in regional Western
Australian areas are managed by regional district officers with the support
from SOES from the serious offender registry.
(3) As at 31 May 2025, there are 3,607 reportable
offenders in Western Australia; 1,971 are managed by SOES; 936 are managed by
regional district officers; and 700 are in custody.
