I refer to dangerous driving, and ask: (a) Since 2010 how many police pursuits has the WA Police Force engaged in; (b) Since 2010 how many people have died in police pursuits; (c) Of those who have died, how many were the driver and how many were the passengers of the offending vehicle; (d) Of those who have died, how many were drivers or passengers of other vehicles, or were pedestrians; and (e) How many police officers have died or been injured in a police pursuit since 2010?

The Western Australian Police Force advise:
(a) Between 1 January 2010 and 30 September 2019, the Western Australia Police Force have engaged in 8 635 evade police incidents. (b) Between 1 January 2010 and 30 September 2019, 39 people have died in evade police incidents. (c) Of those who have died, 21 were the driver and 11 the passenger of the offending vehicle. (d) Of those who have died, 4 were the driver and 3 were passengers of other vehicles. (e) No police officers have died or been injured in evade police incidents between 1 January 2010 and 30 September 2019.
Note: Evade-Police Incidents are circumstances where, for whatever reason, the driver of the motor vehicle being intercepted does not stop when called upon to do so.
