The Employment Law Centre of WA (ELC) The ELC received cash grants payments totalling $155,000 in 2005-06, to provide specialist legal services on employment-related issues to disadvantaged or low-income employees. This included the provision of free legal advice, assistance and representation, as well as information and education services for other community legal centres. Australian Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union (LHMU)
A total of $81,875 was provided to the LHMU to update State awards in accordance with the principles of section 40B of the
Industrial Relations Act 1979

The Employment Law Centre of WA (ELC)
The ELC received cash grants payments totalling $155,000 in 2005-06, to provide specialist legal services on employment-related issues to disadvantaged or low-income employees. This included the provision of free legal advice, assistance and representation, as well as information and education services for other community legal centres.
Trades and Labor Council of WA (UnionsWA)
UnionsWA received a total of $115,000 in 2005-06 for the following projects:
· $50,000 - for a project to remove barriers to flexible training arrangements in State awards;
· $15,000 - to assist with the updating of State awards;
· $50,000 - for a project to assist the Government in progressing its Labour Relations objectives, including through:
o Monitoring the impact of Work Choices;

A payment of $2,500 was provided to the AHA for completing a joint Cash Grant Agreement with the LHMU to update key hospitality awards in Western Australia.

A cash grant of $1,500,000 was provided to the Union Education Foundation Ltd as seed funding to enable it to expand its services to Western Australian union organisers and delegates, so they are able to receive accredited education, training and skills development in a variety of disciplines.
