YOUTH SUICIDE — UNIT 18, CASUARINA PRISON
183. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer to reports of a complaint
made against a custodial officer at unit 18 for allegedly making ghost noises
at the cell where 16-year-old Cleveland Dodd died, and additional reports that
a probe has been launched into a separate incident of a prison guard joking
about this tragedy. Can the minister confirm whether investigations are
underway into both of these incidents and what disciplinary action, if any, has
been taken against the officers in question?
