PERTH STADIUM — WEST COAST EAGLES AND
FREMANTLE DOCKERS GAMES —FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS
1242. Hon MARTIN PRITCHARD to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Sport and Recreation:
I refer to the issue of whether
patrons will be able to bring their personal food and refreshments into West
Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers games at the new Perth Stadium.
(1) Has the
minister been advised whether user agreement and product placement matters have
been finalised; and, if so, what is the outcome of this matter as it relates to
patrons bringing their own food and refreshments into the stadium?
(2) Will the
minister give a guarantee that patrons will be able to take their own food and
drink to West Coast Eagles and Dockers games at the new stadium; and, if not,
why not?

I thank the member for some notice
of the question. I note that this question was asked on 20 October.
(1) User agreements have not been
finalised with either of these two Australian Football League clubs.
(2) Fans can be
assured they will be able to bring in food and non-alcoholic drinks for their
personal use. As is the case in all stadiums, this will be subject to the
stadium's safety and security policy.
