Firearms Act—Mandatory health assessments
79. Mr Shane Love to
the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. There are not enough GPs in regional Western Australia to treat people who are sick. Will the Premier not reconsider changing this requirement, as has
been suggested by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners?
Several
members interjected.
The Speaker: Member for Bateman, I am going to call
you for the first time.

The Speaker: Members of the
opposition!

want to be held to account. He could not look Nationals members in the eye—

The Speaker: Members!
Mr Roger Cook: — and take a
stand for community safety.
Mr Basil Zempilas interjected.
The Speaker: Leader of the Opposition!
Mr Roger Cook: The WA Labor
government stands for community safety. The WA Labor government stands for gun
law reform. The WA government stands for gun laws that are contemporary and fit
for purpose in today's environment, and we stand by every aspect of them.
