The Police Service advises the following number of reported offences involving a weapon.
July 1995 to July 1996 inclusive (13 months), sharp instruments 802, blunt instruments 395, firearms 400.
August 1998 to August 1999 inclusive (13 months), sharp instruments 1297, blunt instruments 414, firearms 415.
1 January to 31 December 2001 inclusive (12 months), sharp instruments 1097, blunt instruments 584, firearms 249.
