(1) As the majority of work related to the development of senior school courses was completed in 2008, it was always planned to reduce expenditure on curriculum development.
In 2007/08 expenditure on curriculum development was $15 819 000.
In 2008/09 projected expenditure will be approximately $12 412 000.
(2) The cost reductions will be implemented between January and June 2009.
(3) Yes, through a significant reduction in teachers seconded from schools to do the work.
