OUR PRIORITIES PROGRAM
561. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Leader of the House
representing the Premier:
I refer to the Our Priorities:
Sharing Prosperity program that was deferred indefinitely by the government in
March 2020. What is the current status of this program?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
The Our Priorities program was
launched by the McGowan Labor government in 2019 to drive positive outcomes for Western Australians and create 150 000 jobs by
2023. Since coming to office in March 2017, the McGowan Labor government has created 220 794 Western Australian
jobs—well beyond the target set by the Our Priorities program .
The program was deferred indefinitely in March 2020 as the pandemic changed the
priorities of the government. The McGowan Labor government is prioritising the
delivery of genuine cost-of-living relief, further investments in our health
system, increasing housing supply and WA's transition to cleaner,
reliable and affordable energy.
