BUNGARUN RESERVE — CLEAN-UP
551. Hon STEPHEN DAWSON to the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs:
I refer to correspondence from the Shire of Derby/West
Kimberley relating to Bungarun Reserve, reserve 21474, vested with the
Aboriginal Lands Trust and a site listed on the state heritage register, which
has fallen into disrepair.
(1) Is the minister concerned about the state of the site?
(2) What steps will be taken to clean up the site?
(3) When will the clean-up occur?
(4) What maintenance schedule will be put in place to
maintain the grounds into the future?

question. This response was as per last Thursday, to put it into context.

The correspondence the member refers to from the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley
was received by my office this morning. I have requested a briefing from the
Department of Aboriginal Affairs.
