1) Did the Vasse Primary School suffer three burglaries during 2002 resulting in the theft of some $20,000 in computer equipment?
2) Has the school had to be re-keyed at a cost of some $6,000 because of the likely theft of school keys?
3) Was there an additional cost of some $1,000 in order to employ a full-time security person for the three days that were required to complete the re-keying of the school?
4) Does the Education Department still classify the school as ‘low risk’ in spite of these burglaries?
5) Why will the Education Department not provide the $6,000 in capital funding needed for installation of a security system plus the $1.10 per day cost of monitoring the system?
