All devices issued to departmental employees are monitored on usage. This can be viewed as details on sites visited and duration of download volumes.
Internet logs were checked. The department advises it is not possible to view the specific content of internet transactions.
A recent survey by the department of authorised employees who have access to social media for official purposes confirms that no employee accessed the named twitter accounts.
The department has an internal record of authorised employees who have access to social media for official purposes however due to privacy considerations it is not considered appropriate to release these names.
