(1) In reference to the Premier’s pre election commitment to ‘repeal the Leeuwin Naturaliste Statement of Planning Policy and have it reviewed as a matter of urgency’ when will the Minister meet with the Shire of Busselton to discuss this issue, recognising that the Shire has not been able to arrange an appointment in spite of their letter written on 19 February?
(2) Does the Minister intend to repeal the entire Statement of Planning Policy?
(3) If not, will the Minister review that section of the policy that refers to the larger Smith’s Beach area or just Location 413?
(4) If just Location 413, what justification can be provided for this decision, recognising that the draft policy referred to development potential of the larger Smith’s Beach area?

(2) No. (3) No. The policy will be reviewed as it relates to Location 413. (4) The eastern boundary of Location 413 lies along Smiths Beach Road. Neither the Shire of Busselton nor the Smiths Beach Action Group are in favour of expanding the Development Investigation Area to the east of Smiths Beach Road. The road forms a logical boundary which will mitigate against further development sprawl to the east of the road.
