Legislation Amendment Bill 2020.
(1) How many submissions were
received from agricultural representative groups?
(a) will the minister please list the
names of the groups?
(2) How many submissions contained a
regional address?
(3) How many submissions were in a pro

(4) Will the minister table the
submissions received; and, if not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member; the question was
to the Attorney General. I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) One hundred
and eighty-five submissions were received over the consultation period. Eight
of those were from agricultural representative groups.
(a) The names of
the groups are: WAFarmers Dairy Council; WAFarmers Livestock Council;
Australian Chicken Growers' Council; Livestock and Rural Transport
Association of Western Australia; Kimberley
Pilbara Cattlemen's Association; WA Pork Producers Association ; Commercial Egg Producers Association of Western Australia;
and the Pastoralists and Graziers Association.
(2) Unknown.
(3) It appears
that RSPCA Western Australia sent a mail-out by email on or about 25 March 2020
regarding the bill. Thirteen of the submissions received were a copy of the
email sent out by RSPCA WA.
(4) I am unable
to table the submissions at this time as the stakeholders have not been
canvassed regarding publication. I will endeavour to do so as soon as
practicable once the stakeholders have been contacted and the necessary
redactions of items such as personal information have taken place.
