In reference to the recent animal cruelty charges that Westpork, Western Australia’s biggest piggery, has pleaded guilty to, I ask:
(a) were any animal cruelty charges also brought against against the Westpork Manager and its Managing Director, and if so, what were they and when were they laid; and
(b) will the Minister ask the Chairman of the Pork Producers Committee to step down, given he was Managing Director of Westpork at the time of the proven animal cruelty, and if not, why not?
