It appears that the member for Capel’s questions have been written from BGC’s head office. Several members interjected. Mr M. McGOWAN : Will the member deny it? Several members interjected. Mr M. McGOWAN : He will not deny it. BGC writes his questions. Dr S.C. Thomas interjected. The DEPUTY SPEAKER : Order, member for Capel! Mr M. McGOWAN : The brickworks licensing policy was released in 2003. This policy requires the progressive installation of best practice emission controls at all the major brick kilns in the Swan Valley region to significantly reduce emissions from the brickworks. I am committed to continuing the implementation of the policy to ensure that all new kilns meet policy requirements. I am also committed to continue the program to reduce emissions from brickworks. Although the member for Capel supports brickworks on airport land, this government does not.
