I refer to the answer to question without notice 1124, asked on 18 September 2024, regarding access to Lot 2 Armadale Road, Piara Waters, and I ask: (a) is the Minister aware that the issue of access to Lot 2 remains unresolved; (b) on what date was the Minister first briefed about this property; (c) on what date was the Minister last briefed about this property; (d) is the Minister aware that it is the duty of Main Roads Western Australia (WA) to pay compensation for removing the right of access to Lot 2; (e) is the Minister aware that the City of Armadale is refusing to sign Main Roads WA’s plans regarding Armadale Road without Main Roads WA first addressing the issue of access to Lot 2; (f) is the Minister aware that the property owner continues to regularly access Lot 2, as required by law, for the purpose of installing firebreaks, weed management and fence maintenance, and is further intending to build a house on the property; and (g) given the above referenced in (f), will the Minister undertake to meet with the owner of Lot 2 to facilitate a resolution to this matter of access to the lot?
