PUBLIC SECTOR COMMISSIONER — STAFF IN MINISTERS’ OFFICES
(1) In the past six months have any complaints or concerns been made to the Public Sector Commissioner by senior public servants against any staff based in ministers’ offices? (2) If yes, which ministers’ offices were the complaints/concerns made against? (3) What was the nature of the complaints/concerns? (1)–(4) A number of issues have been raised with the Public Sector Commissioner concerning the relationship between a minister’s office and the department. These issues principally concern the nature of communications between the minister’s office and the department. The Public Sector Commissioner has discussed these issues with the minister’s office and the director general and has proposed several courses of action.
