(a)-(b) Lishen Power made an unsolicited approach to Horizon Power with a view to offering a battery free of charge to be used in off-grid energy storage. Following the signing of a memorandum of understanding on 19 November 2015, Lishen then advised it wanted to set  commercial terms, ie, that it wanted to receive a return from the batteries once the trial was completed. At that point, Horizon Power ceased further negotiations, received advice from an independent probity auditor and issued a request for tenders for the supply of a battery for trial purposes with a view to purchase depending on outcome of the trial. Following assessment of the tenders, Horizon Power will announce the successful bidder.
