I refer to the Minister’s answer to question on notice No. 4229, and I ask: (a) why did the Minister, in the tables, provide a combined answer to (1)(b) and (2)(a) for semester 2, when the parts were asked separately and combining them doesn’t provide the information being sought, and in fact the Minister did not provide an answer to (2)(a) for semester 2 at all; (b) will the Minister provide a new answer to question on notice No. 4229, answering the questions asked and not combining any of the parts; and (c) if no to (b), why not?

a. No response to Question (1) (b) was provided because there is no measure of Year 11 completion. Clear reference was made in the notes accompanying the answers that “completed” is shown as attainment for Year 12.  There is no equivalent for Year 11.
Question (2) (a) was answered for both Semester 1 and Semester 2 in 2014 and 2015 and for Semester 1 in 2016. Data for Semester 2, 2016 were not available at the time question on notice No. 4229 was asked.
In reviewing the response to the previous question, it has been identified that the Year 11 table headings should have referenced Questions (1) (a) and (2) (a) only. A revised Year 11 table, reflecting the minor change to the headings, is provided in the tabled paper.
b. No.
c. The question has been answered as fully and appropriately as possible.
