I refer the minister to a comment she made on Channel Seven last night when she said - No, we’re not a laughing stock, and I’ll need to have that verified. Has the minister had that verified? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH

Mr President, can I ask the member about the context in which the statement was made? The PRESIDENT : No, the Minister for Education and Training will answer the question if she wishes. Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH : I would have been happy to answer that question. Unfortunately, the honourable member has not advised me of the context in which that statement was made. That certainly would have been helpful to me in providing a fair response to what is perhaps a fair question. In view of the fact that that has not been provided, and as much as I would love to answer that question and would be more than happy to provide the answer, gee whiz, to ask it out of context makes it very difficult.
