I refer to the ' pozible' crowdfunding campaign by the State Library of Western Australia, seeking to raise $10,000 to preserve and digitise film from the State Library of Western Australia's collection and ask: (a) how many films are currently held by the State Library; (b) how many films in the State Library's collection have been digitised for each of the past five years; (c) how many films in the State Library's collection have been digitised in total and what percentage does this represent; (d) how many additional films will be digitised if the crowdfunding campaign is successful and what percentage of the State Library's collection does this represent; (e) how much funding was allocated towards the digitisation of films in the 2017/2018 budget; (f) is there is adequate funding to support the need to digitise historic films held by the State Library; (g) if yes to (f), then why has the State Library engaged in a crowdfunding campaign; and (h) if no to (f), do you encourage your Departments to engage in crowdfunding when Government funding is insufficient?
