(a) A total of $2,530,192 has been allocated for the delivery of education services at Banksia Hill Detention Centre in 2019-20.
(b) The preliminary financial results (pre-audit) for the year ended 30 June 2019 show a net cost of education services at Banksia Hill Detention Centre of $3,005,979.
Prior to 2018-19, Juveniles held in remand were not provided with classes during the school holidays and participated in alternative activities such as sports and other outdoor recreational activities.
