(a) Please see [Tabled paper no. XX] for funding details for the services in East Kimberley, Goldfields, Great Southern, Pilbara, South West, West Kimberley and Wheatbelt Districts.
The figures provided in both PQON 5503 and PQON 5861 relate to funding for homelessness and family and domestic violence (FDV) services by the State Government and is made up of both Commonwealth and State Government contributions.
Please note the figures provided differ from those provided in PQON 5503. The figures provided are 2019-20 annual funding levels [1] for services, whilst the figures for 2019-20 provided in PQON 5503 were estimates based on expenditure to 1 October 2019 extrapolated for the whole of the 2019-20 financial year.
(b)Details of services that have ceased or been reduced in the East Kimberley, Goldfields, Great Southern, Murchison and South West Districts are:
i. Services that ceased being provided and have either not been provided by another service provider or incorporated into another service agreement include:
ii. There are no services that have had funding decreased.
(c) The revised figures provided identify that the funding to the East Kimberley District has not decreased. The major reason for lower funding identified in the Goldfields, Great Southern, Murchison and South West Districts in 2019-20 compared with figures provided for 2018-19, is that the 2018-19 figures are actual expenditure that includes indexation and one-off payments, while the 2019-20 figures are annual funding levels for services and exclude indexation, and one-off payments.
The reasons for the cessation in funding to services identified in part (b) (i) were:
