HESELTINE PARK, SEWERAGE PUMPING STATION
With reference to the Water Corporation’s proposal to locate a sewerage pumping station on Heseltine Park, I ask - (1) Is the minister aware that - (a) many nearby and adjoining residents vigorously oppose this proposal; (b) the site is considered to be unsuitable for this type of facility; (c) Heseltine Park was created through voluntary efforts by the residents who live in that area of west Busselton; (d) these residents still maintain this valuable urban open space in their own time and at their own expense; (e) it will severely and unfairly impact on the amenity of the area; and (f) the process followed by the Water Corporation regarding site selection and consultation with the community was flawed? (2) What action does the minister intend to take to ensure that the Water Corporation does not build this facility on Heseltine Park, but finds a more appropriate site? Hon N.D. GRIFFITHS
