MULTICULTURAL ADVISORY GROUP — PASTOR JOE VERMEULEN
I have a supplementary question. Does the minister intend to fund multicultural clubs whose members speak another language and look different? Mr G.M. CASTRILLI

What a pathetic question. Mr J.N. Hyde : You have defunded the ECC, what is next? Mr G.M. CASTRILLI : I have not defunded anything. Members must understand that, in 2009, funding became contestable and everyone knew it would be contestable. The ECC put in a bid, which went to an independent body and did not come up to scratch. It is as simple as that. That funding opportunity will come up again in three years. The ECC is quite welcome to submit a proposal then. In the meantime, it can apply for grants and go through the same process as anyone else.
