A WA parliamentary question seeks information about the government's plans to relocate a department to Fremantle's Kings Square, specifically regarding tenders, delays, and the fulfillment of an election promise. The answer clarifies that no tenders were advertised, but market sounding was conducted, and a business case is being developed to assess the value of decentralisation.

(c) Market sounding submissions were received from:

- EG Funds Management Pty Ltd.
(d) The Department of Finance has been tasked with developing a business case regarding office accommodation in Fremantle. The Government is yet to consider a proposal to relocate an agency to Fremantle.
(e) The timing of any proposed relocation will be the subject of a business case.
(f) The Government is committed to the decentralisation of office space where it can be demonstrated that better value for money outcomes are achievable. The business case will examine the merits of any proposal to decentralise.
