PUBLIC SECTOR — WORKFORCE DATA
811. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the Leader of the House
representing the Premier:
I refer to page 24 of the Public Sector Commission's ''State
of the sector 2012'' report, which states —
At the end of June 2012, 156 892
employees representing 122 939 FTE were employed by the 125 public sector
entities that report workforce data to the Commission.
(1) Have the
public sector entities that report workforce data to the commission done so
since June 2012?
(2) If yes to (1), on what date or dates did that reporting
take place?
(3) If yes to (1) —
(a) for the
most recently reported data, how many employees were employed by the entities
that report workforce data to the commission; and
(b) how many FTEs did this number
represent?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) Yes, the
Public Sector Commission collects workforce data on a quarterly basis and
subsequently publishes it on the PSC website.
(2) The
reporting took place at the last pay period of September 2012, December 2012,
March 2013 and June 2013.
(3) Previous
state of the sector reports historically included entities listed under
schedule 1 of the Public Sector Management Act 1994. These are now excluded
from Public Sector Commission reporting as they are not organisations for the
purposes of the Public Sector Management Act 1994.
(a) There were 138 863 employees.
(b) This number represented 110 544
FTEs.
